  I called in and placed an order for delivery. I gave him my order and information and after I gave the man my address he said "Oh that's too far, I'll have to charge you $6 for delivery" (I live 10 km away...it's not like I'm accross the city). I said that's fine and then he tries to convince me to order from some where closer. I like their food and eat there often, so I said no I'd like to order from you. He says "okay bye" and hangs up. This, understandably, gave me the impression that he put in my order. Then I started thinking about it and I don't want to order from a place that makes such a big deal about delivering food even though they apparently offer delivery. I called back to cancel and he said he didn't put in my order! I would have been sitting here waiting for my food and never gotten it. He didn't even have the decency to tell me they were not placing my order! If you don't want to drive 10 km to deliver an order then don't offer delivery or at least put on your website that you will not deliver a over a specified distance. Terrible customer service. I won't be going there again.

  So I called in wanting food delivered. almost 70 dollars in food. He quoited me 45 minuets. I was okay with that. I had no idea what I was getting myself into... After one hour of waiting. I called them asking how much longer it would be. He said they where on there way. about five more minuets. Cool right? not really. Waited twenty minuets and called again. He said that there where still on the way. wanted a discount. would not give. He said if food was cold call him again.

  Tonight we ordered four items from Douglas Peking Express which took an hour for delivery, and arrived around 8pm. Their items are as follows: 1. Two spring rolls (which have earned the star of the review). 2. Mushroom Fried Rice (incredibly bland, seriously, like eating air.) 3. Mushrooms and Broccoli (very greasy), 4. Cantonese noodles with vegetables (this dish had about 1/4 cup of oil separated from the sauce. The noodles were partially cooked, and as my husband and I do not eat meat, so the chicken we received in our noodle dish was an unwelcomed addition. This food was overly greasy (I've never had greasier Chinese food, I felt like I should ring out the noodles like you would a dishcloth). We couldn't even stomach the leftovers, unfortunately we tossed them. I cannot speak to anything other than the four items we ordered but I would highly recommend you avoid ordering those items (except for the spring rolls, they were a solid 7/10). Lastly, the takeout bag was saturated in sauce which leaked from the container.

  Having lived in Asia for many a year, I was curious to impossibly compare what I had grown familiar with with Canadian expectations. The service was friendly enough, but, although perfectly edible, the food doesn't even come close. My outlook on Asia cuisine in Canada has grown dim..
